Grey Tower Caravan Park is a
small family owned site situated in the heart
of East Sussex countryside with historic links
dating back to the Roman Empire and the Battle
of Hastings in 1066. The site gains its name
from the Martello Tower situated in its centre.
The tower is one of only twenty-four Martello
towers left from the original seventy-four which
were built in the Napoleonic war along the coast
line from Aldeburgh to Seaford between 1805
- 1812.
Grey Tower Caravan Park is a private owner static
caravan holiday park with room for a limited
number of seasonal tourer caravans and has been
in the Grant family since the 1930’s.
The Grants are well known locally as a prominent
fishing family and the land that the caravan
site is situated on was originally bought for
its access to the beach,
which was ideal to launch fishing boats from.
