Here we are again and I can
hardly believe that this is our sixth newsletter
and our eighth year at Grey Tower Caravan Park.
There have been several
changes at the park over the last few months,
the main one being the sad passing away of Alf
at the grand old age of 97 years. Thank you very
much for all the cards and donations we received
for St Wilfred’s Hospice they are very much
appreciated. Grey Tower Caravan Park won’t be
the same without him….
Our new Park warden Tony is
well and truly settled in now and enjoying his
new role. No doubt you’ve seen him riding around
on the new quad towing Don’s specially
commissioned trailer complete with recycling
compartments. The morning chore of bin
collecting has never been so easy or efficient –
not sure what Alf would have made of it though!
Please continue to separate
your rubbish in to the recycling bins so we can
continue to do our bit for the environment. We
hope that the first half of the 2008 season has
been a good one and look forward to seeing you
throughout the rest of the season be it in
thermals, wellies or flip flops!
AND FINALLY…..
Could all caravan users
ensure that visitors to the park make themselves
known to Reception especially if they are
staying overnight. We endeavour to keep your
caravans and property safe and secure at all
times and unknown visitors to the Park are
becoming a security issue.
Additionally please ensure
that all caravan users are aware that sanitary
items must not be put down the toilets in static
units or in the toilet block as it blocks the
waste system on the Park. Thank you for your
cooperation in this matter.
Following problems with stray
golf balls causing damage to property on the
park now that Bay View Golf course has opened
for business the owners have erected a fence in
order to eradicate this problem. We are keeping
a diary of when any golf balls are found on our
land and any subsequent damage they cause so
please inform us if you have any problems
relating to the golf course.
A reminder for your diaries –
the closing date for the 2008 season is Friday
31st October and we re-open on Sunday
1st March 2009. Please note that
deposit payments for the 2009 season will be due
on Wednesday 8th October 2008 with
the balance of your pitch fees due on or before
Sunday 1st February 2009.
