JANUARY 2009
Welcome to the Grey Tower Caravan Park spring
newsletter. Its been all go as usual through out
the winter months with the Grey Tower team hard
at work in plenty of wind, a significant amount
of rain and even some snow (especially the team
members that reside in Yorkshire!)
We have completed the latest phase of
electricity work required by Wealden District
Council, which never really affects the
residents of the park but can give us a few
headaches from time to time. However the moving
round of fuse boxes and some other essential
electrical work has meant that we were able to
have a rearrangement of the toilet block
resulting in a new and improved laundry room.
The new set up should make sorting your smalls a
lot easier in a bigger room with more work
surface and tidier sinks. We’re also planning to
have better weather throughout the open season
so you might even be able to hang your
essentials out for an airing instead of having
to resort to using the dryer all the time – but
don’t hold us to it, we can’t perform miracles!
As I write Sonia is currently taking some well
earned rest following a knee operation but tells
us that she feels much better than she did
before the op and is looking forward to trotting
round the park in her usual sprightly manner
come the spring time….
And Tony is toasting himself on a beach
somewhere topping up his mahogany tan – he was
suffering sunshine withdrawal symptoms so has
taken the opportunity for a bit of a break
whilst its quiet before we start the spring rush
- a whole month earlier than we used to
prepare for your arrival.
We thought we’d continue to tax your brains -
with a Suduko this time – its starting to tax
ours even more devising them. As usual there’s
the usual packet of biscuits up for grabs for
the first person to present a completed and
correct Suduko to the park office. Here’s to a
happy 2009 season …

GREY TOWER
CARAVAN PARK DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Now this sounds very grand doesn’t it? Its not
really, we just like to make it sound that way
as it gives us an excuse for having extended tea
breaks whilst we’re pondering what to do next.
We are at present in the process of researching
the best way of putting a new reception building
on the site of the old garages. The
redevelopment of this area will of course depend
on whether we can obtain planning permission but
we are aware that Grey Towers has well and truly
outgrown our current reception/shed! As cute as
it is its not the easiest space to work in and
we could do with somewhere a bit more spacious
if only so you can all have somewhere to gather
for a catch up on all the latest gossip!
We will keep you posted as to the progress of
the project, however we will need several more
tea and flapjack breaks before any major
decisions can be made!
AND FINALLY
In the event that the credit crunch is biting
and you’re dreading having to pay your rent
balance in a lump sum in February don’t forget
that we can set up direct debits in order to pay
for it on a monthly basis instead. There’s only
one form to fill in which you then take to your
bank to authorise payments. Please contact the
park reception for more information.
The opening date for the 2009 season is Sunday 1st
March. Please note that balance payments for the
2009 season are due on or before Sunday 1st
February 2009.
On a more cheerful note if you like nothing
better than messing about on the water as well
as in it we currently have some boat berths
available to hire on an annual basis. Please
contact the park reception for more information.
Additionally as we go to press – sounds good,
going to press, we have new printer you see – it
does everything except make the tea, we have a
new static caravan on order which we hope to
have fully sited on B field at the start of the
2009 season. It will be open for viewings as
soon as it is fully installed so if you would
like a guided tour track down Sonia or Tony who
will be happy to oblige….
